Weddington Thistle 3 - 0 Boswoth 'A'

A comfortable 3-0 win to kick us off in the tournement, everybody played well. This boosted everybodies (players, mangement & supporters alike) confidence as this was our 1st win ever.


Weddington Thistle 7 - 0 Westfield 'B'

We scored straight form the kick off, then the tidal wave followed with six more goals, we could have easily had double figures. We give big to the whole team as the other team never had 1 shot at our goal.


Weddington Thistle 1 - 0 ST NICHOLAS

Once again a clean sheet, we had all the play apart from one shot. We had dominace throughtout the game. This took us through in to the semi finals with the following stats.

All the goals were by the dyanmite duo CONNOR & TYLER

Semi Final

Weddington Thistle 0 - 2 Thurmaston

This result does not tell the story of the match , both their goals came against the run of play. Still the whole team played well & kept trying throughout the whole game.


We came 3rd overall.

I would like to say well done to James, Liam. Aarman, Dillon, Connor, Tyley, Ben, & Matthew, for a brillant day of football. I would like to say thank you to all the parents & supporters who turned out to support the team.

Hope we do as well in the next tournement.

EXTRA PLACES AVAILABLE

THE FUTURE

The Dribblers training has started on Saturday mornings, 9.00am to 10.00am. This takes place at the Old Edwardians Rugby Club, Weddington Road and will continue every Saturday.

Due to splitting the children into specific age groups to continue the development of all children extra places are now available.

If you childs date of birth is between:
1st Sept 2002 to 31st Aug 2004

Numbers are still limited but we do not want any children to miss the opportunity of being part of this group and club.

PLAYERS REQUIREMENTS

For these training sessions all players are required to bring:

1 Shin pads, not insured if not worn.
2 A drink.

All other equipment will be provided and sponsorship is being looked at for the team. All the children will receive Weddington Thistle JFC kits and jumpers etc once sponsorship has been found.

PRESENTATION AND DISCO

The presentation and disco will take place on Friday 11th May at the Old Ed's Rugby Club.
